GREATER CHICAGO VEDIC SOCIETY

Greater Chicago Vedic Society (a.k.a GC Vedic) is a registered not for profit organization under section 501 (c) (3) of the Internal Revenue Service Code of the USA with its headquarters established in Naperville, Illinois for promoting religious, charitable and educational activities.

The Purpose

The Purpose of GCVEDIC organization is:

• To Support and conduct Religious activities upholding the Sanatana (Hindu) Dharma

• To promote educational sessions through discourses and informational activities and to increase public awareness of Hindu Vedic scriptures

• To provide associated Philosophical and Cultural activities

• To provide charitable contributions and support Vedic schools in the USA and India






What we do

As part of our religious activities, for the past 5 years, we have been hosting eminent scholars like Sri. Velukkudi Krishnan swamy, Sri. Dushyanth Sridhar Swami, Dr. Sri. Ranganji and many other prominent religious and cultural leaders from India. We are also sponsoring and conducting Vedic / Prabhanda Parayanam activities within local Chicago Area temples such as SVS Balaji Temple at Aurora and HTGC Temple at Lemont. We are also deeply involved in celebrating the “Thirunakshatra Utsavams” of our Azhwars and Acharyans regularly and sponsor Dolotsavam of all Vaishnavaite matams like The Ahobila Mutt, Parakala Mutt and Andavan Ashrams. As part of the cultural activities we had partnered with several local and India based organizations in promoting traditional and classical dance, music, drama and discourses. As of January 2020, GC Vedic has a registered patrons / member of over 750 people living within the Greater Chicago Area and supporting our activities.
